These works, created expressly for the Trask Gallery at The National Arts Club in New York, express a tribute to the God of the Sun and its impact on our surroundings, capturing the light and beauty that nurture us. The ancient traces of day to day activity and feeling are honored and shown as timeless in the mystic sunrises and sunsets upon the mountains of Tepoztlán, Mexico.

José Luis Bustamante, a world renowned, Mexican plastic arts artist and abstract painter, with a long and intense trajectory, brings us this magnificent exhibition which, together with its’ pictorial quality transmits his deep sentiment for the mystic beauty of his country of origin. This beautiful collection includes 20 Oil paintings, with silver leaf on canvas. That unique and astonishing light that he has captured, and acclaimed by the critiques, is shown throughout each piece of this collection.
